July is Sarcoma Cancer Awareness Month
Sarcomas are transformed cells of bone, cartilage, fat, muscle nervous system and vascular tissue.
They are different than carcinomas which develop from the cells lining the surface of blood vessels and organs throughout the body.
Sarcomas are much rarer in comparison to carcinomas. This rarity; however, often results in sarcomas being found after they have advanced.
